Voice, music, spaces:
When music, research and heritage
meet
For over a year, we followed Sorbonne University's Collegium Musicæ at Fontevraud Abbey to produce a documentary on the musical creation "Libre Comme" composed by Jean-Yves Bernhard. This ambitious project, combining heritage, art, and research, was recognized by a selection at the Venice Beach Fine Art Film Festival.
The project
This documentary project, led by Sorbonne University, took us to Fontevraud Abbey to explore a unique artistic residency. Combining heritage and musical innovation, we accompanied the Collegium Musicæ in the creation of Jean-Yves Bernhard's choral work "Libre Comme," performed by the Sorbonne University Choir.
Thanks to an experienced film crew and our expertise in documentary storytelling, we captured the energy of this artistic adventure, from rehearsals to the final performance. The film highlights the synergy between researchers, musicians, and historians in a place steeped in history.
This visual work, selected at the Venice Beach Fine Art Film Festival, illustrates our ability to create cultural films with high heritage value, combining emotion, transmission and artistic rigor.
