An acousmatic adventure
A visual and sound immersion at the heart of an extraordinary artistic learning experience
An immersive dive into the fascinating world of acousmatic music, this documentary depicts the learning process of a group of students guided by experts. Filmed at the heart of the Paris Regional Conservatory, it explores an innovative pedagogy that blends sound art, creation, and visual experimentation.
At the request of the Collegium Musicae of Sorbonne University, we produced and directed An Acousmatic Adventure, a short documentary filmed at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. It follows students' introduction to acousmatic music, under the direction of experts, around an acousmonium. To bring this sound learning experience to life, we opted for a dynamic visual approach using steadicam and double exposure sequences, inspired by the opening credits of True Detective. Thanks to our expertise in filmmaking, motion design, and artificial intelligence, we transformed this educational project into a truly immersive experience. Our bilingual, responsive, and creative team met the client's cultural and academic expectations with rigor.
